Doorway Pec Stretch
Doorway Pec Stretch is a gentle stretching exercise designed to improve chest flexibility, reduce shoulder tightness, and encourage better posture. It can help improve shoulder mobility by stretching the muscles at the front of the chest.

Equipment Needed
Doorway or corner wall
Starting Position
Stand in a doorway.
Place your forearms on the door frame with your elbows bent to approximately 90°.
Keep your shoulders relaxed.
Stand with one foot slightly in front of the other.
Step 1
Gently lean your body forward until you feel a comfortable stretch across your chest and the front of your shoulders.
Step 2
Keep your shoulders relaxed and avoid shrugging.
Maintain good posture throughout the stretch.
Step 3
Hold the stretch for 15–30 seconds, then slowly return to the starting position.
Repeat as recommended.
Recommended Repetitions
Hold for 15–30 seconds
Repeat 3–5 times
Perform once or twice daily
Tips
Move slowly.
Keep your neck relaxed.
Stand tall.
Breathe normally.
Stretch only to a comfortable level.
Common Mistakes
Leaning too far forward.
Shrugging your shoulders.
Arching your lower back.
Stretching into pain.
Stop the Exercise If
You experience sharp pain.
Your symptoms worsen.
You develop numbness or tingling.
Your healthcare provider advises you to stop.
