Craniosacral Therapy

Massage Therapy with Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on technique that uses light touch, primarily around the head, neck, spine, and sacrum (the bone at the base of the spine).

The approach was developed around the craniosacral system, which includes the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Craniosacral Therapy is based on theories involving subtle movements and rhythms within this system. However, research has not established that these rhythms can be reliably assessed through touch or that Craniosacral Therapy changes cerebrospinal fluid circulation.

Unlike traditional Massage Therapy techniques that involve deeper pressure or muscle kneading, Craniosacral Therapy uses gentle, sustained contact. Some clients find this lighter approach relaxing and prefer it as part of their individualized Massage Therapy treatment.
